Default Must have a what?

Following on from other discussions we've had, I read this on the Times Online website earlier - thought you might find it rather amusing:

The latest public figure to stand accused of defiling the Prophet Mohamed is not some Danish cartoonist, or French newspaper editor, but a hapless British Page 3 girl called Emma B.

Yesterday, the erotic retailer Ann Summers unveiled Miss B as the "face" of its new range of products.

Not 24 hours later, she finds herself on the front line of Islamic protest after Muslim leaders discovered that the range includes a new blow-up doll, called "Mustafa Shag".

Unfortunately, Mustafa was one of the names given to the Prophet Mohamed. Bestowing it upon, in the words of its catalogue, "an inflatable escort for your hen-night adventures" is considered highly offensive.

The Manchester Central Mosque has already written to the firm, calling on it to withdraw the product.

Bad timing definitely, but surely it's not that outrageous? Hopefully no-one will be offended by this post.

This is the United Kingdom. We are, last time I checked, a Christian nation. When in Rome do as the Romans if not, then maybe don't go.

I'm sorry if this offends people, but if other cultures want to live here, then integrate don't separate.

My nan may be offended by what's in the Ann Summers catalogue, that's why she wouldn't read it....

We're really not, statistically we're an atheist nation. There's now more practicing orthodox muslims in teh UK than there are Church of England or RC. The definition of "practicing" is attends a place of worship at least once per month, or prays at least once a week.
