Default Any one uses Suzuki Insurance

My renewal with Bennetts is up 1st April , they want 430 quid fully comp .

Just got a quote from www.expressinsurance.co.uk/suzuki ( Apparently official Suzuki Insurance Company) got quoted 302

Phoned them and got quoted 240 quid !

Only problem is XS seems high at £350 & there is a garaging clause stating that if bike is within 500 metres of home address & it is not in garage insurance will not cover theft !

Never heard of that one before it this normal ??

Any one used express insurance before ?

Cheers

The excess could be worse i've had quotes from policies with £500 excess before now.

As for the garage claus thats very common, although they normally only say that between the hours of 11pm and 7am it should be garaged if within half a mile, atleast thats what mine used to say.

I'd stick with bennetts i've been with them for years with no prob's. I'm covered During daylight hours when its outside my garage or in front of my house.

I pay an excess of £175 with www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk and that is garaged between 10pm-7am (Or something like that). They also state that if my bike is stolen when not garaged between those hour when the bike is at home that I am covered BUT my excess would go up by £250. I think that's a pretty good deal!

just got a quote from ebike that costs 297 with 175 xs & a 10 pm - 6am garage clause staing if not garaged & nicked you pay a extra 250 quid , which seems fair enough

I recon ebike's gonna get my business worth the extra 50 quid for the peace of mind & lower excess , I can understand a garage clause for certain hours , however to have it garaged 24 hrs a day at your property is a bit unreasonable !

I hate insurance .....

Cheers Steve

Ebike seem like a great firm to deal with. They are a part of southern rock, so are not some small dodgey firm! I've yet to hear from some one that made a claim though - I'd be interested to hear how they deal with things. Snap, I have a red K5 too!

Ebike are definitely the cheapest around just now. I used the moneysupermarket.com to find the cheapest deals going but nothing could better the price I got from ebike.

Plus they do all the extras on the insurance as standard so there's none of the usual add ons that Bennetts come out with.

Ebike were £190 with an XS of £100 on my K5, I had been with Bennetts on my previous bike and had 8 months left on the insurance, so I'd asked them how much to change over and they wanted an additional £180 on top of what I'd paid just for the 8 months left to go on the policy.

IMO Bennetts are rip off merchants, they spend heaps of money on advertising knowing that alot of people don't shop around for insurance or leave it till the last minute and just accept the renewal.

I use Express, no probs at all, were perfectly happy with race pipes.

Yes they were funny about the garage clause - but what is the prob with keeping it in the garage all the time when at home?

Far cheaper for me than Carol Nash.
