Default Blue Flame Evo..

Got the titanium trizoid evo can made by blue flame. I love it but recently its been popping rivets out. I only have the can on the bike about 6months from new.

Surely it shouldn't be doing this? I don't mind replacing the occasional rivet but its becoming an after run repair almost every time i am out..

Any advice welcome.

Return it under lifetime guarantee (they do this dont they) get a new one, sell it on and get something reliable.

I've got a BF twin outlet oval evo on the Blue 'Blade and never had any probelm with it - but I have to say I wouldn't put a BF can on my SV.

Everything I've heard seems to lead to me thinking that they have a problem with longevity when on a V-Twin. It's the vibes I guess.

It's a pity and they do sound lovely though.

i've got an akrapovic ti road legal system - but with the baffle out. i guess even though it is road legal (and hence according to that other thread, would never need repacking), because i have the baffle out it will need repacking.

Does anyone know where you can go to get it repacked? do i need to send it to akrapovic? how much $ is it?

Incidentally i can't put the baffle in because i've lost the screw that holds it in - does anyone know if i can just ask for/buy another one?

Repack it yourself, not that difficult so long as you can put in rivets and have a drill to take the current ones out (Hardly anyone repacks the exhausts anyway)

As for the screw, christ man, jsut go to B&Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't need an 'official' screw do you?

If you don't repack a titanium can, you may regret it... It can cause the sleeve to discolour. I'm not sure what other thread you refer to, but it's flat out cobblers to say that a road legal can by definition won't need repacking.

Ah, that comment from Wolf? It's cobblers. All most road legal cans are, is race cans with a cork in the end. Some don't need repacking, some do.
