Default W@N%ERS!

So off this week, meet a friend in Covent Garden for lunch about three hours ago. Got back to the bike, legally parked to find someones keyed the tank
Not just once either! Twice on one side and once on the other! Also they had a dig at the plastic by the rear seat. I'm gutted. What did I do? I've parked quite sensably and not hit anyone else...

The scratches are through to the metal, anything to be done here or am I going to have to respray?

I'll have to look, I feel like John Travolter in Pulp Fiction.

"It'd be WORTH them keying the car just so I could catch them"

Bad luck dude
Comprehensive insurance?

I thought that kind of behaviour had died away - obviously not.

Shame it hasn't.
I had the same thing happen to my car and the one next to it, again right down to the metal twice on the bonnet, all along wheel arch, down drivers door, rear passenger door all over the boot!

Can do nothing about it, is really annoying though.

Just hope it happens to them in the near future with a really expensive car/bike.. what comes around goes around.

One reason why I wont ride into london now - I have to park in a public bay and previous experience = pristine bike wont stay that way for more than a couple of days. Not just with people keying bikes, but the peds that force their ped into a non-existant gap - could the scratches have been from those by any chance?

I know people who deliberately buy ****e looking bikes purely so they dont have to worry about them being damaged in london bike bays.

Unlucky mate.

I've just gone through similar. A mate of mine left his car at my place while he went away on holiday. His and my car were parked facing one another.

Got up Monday morning and his tyre is flat. Thought maybe he had a slow puncture. I got in mine to drive and noticed the steering felt funny , got out and lo and behold I've got a puncture as well. Hmm.

Inspected both tyres and someone had slashed/ stuck a knife into the tyres on both cars. It couldn't be co-coincidence as incision was exactly the same width and on the sidewall.

At least they were kind enough to just do one each so that's only a new tyre for each car.

Cheers
Ben
