Default Changing front sprocket

What's the best method of locking up the engine/ transmission so that I can undo and torque up the front sprocket nut?

make sure your chain is still on, the bike is on its back wheel and someone is on the rear brake or if your on yer own use a 1/4 drive extention bar to keep back brake jammed on, then get a 32mm socket and a long tommy bar and unscrew it will be tight just persist

Get yourself a 12V impact gun.

Mine was £12 or £14 from Halfords. Bike left in Neutral while using that. Just co-incidence but the Max torque of mine IIRC is about the same as stated in manual for the front sprocket.

Or put a peace of 4x2 through the wheel so it rests on the swing arm and stops it turning!!

I could only remove it with an impact gun, a 1m bar extention on the socket was useless...
