Default something to complement the sv?

With progress on repairing the SV being slooooooow (due to time pressures and an inordinate number of siezed bolts, some of which are not shifting no matter what), I've been hunting around for another bike that would be a complement to the SV. Due to my ZX6R being stolen I can't afford to insure anything remotely sporty (read, anything much over about grp 11 is going to be expensive). So I'm looking around at bikes that would offer a different motorcycling experience to a naked SV with clip-ons, which is what mine will be when I finish it.

I'm looking at spending around £1500 to £2000, and there are some simple criteria - cheap (ish) to run, can be relatively easy to commute on, easy servicing.

Some ideas I've had:

Suzuki XF650 Freewind (sounds a bit like a f*rt but looks OK)
Suzuki Goose 350 (If I can find one, while it is also naked with clip ons, it looks like fun)
Honda CB400 Super 4 (not couriered to death)

Any other ideas really?

For that money, you could get a nice SV! That'll complement your other SV nicely.

Ducati Monster!!!

You can get a really good example of a 900 or 750 for £2000 (which is the collective sum that I have now spent making mine good ).....cheap to insure (1 group above the SV IIRC) and they're great fun to ride!

EDIT -> Forgot to add, Soulkiss....
