can this be taken off? or is it part of the frame? thinks its used for tieing things down. but might be wrong.
before i start taking bits of to get at it. the bikes a sv650s (2000) |

If you're on about the bits that I think you're on about they are actually part of the rear sub-frame and cannot be removed without some serious angle grinder work which may or may not affect the structural integrity of the frame.

They can be removed and its not part of the structual part of the subframe. You will need an angle grinder though.
