Default NOS. sounds silly, but worth it?

looking around, a kit is around 500 quid. the only reason i want it is purely for overtaking on dualcarriageways, as the top range on the sv is poor. little blip of nos and away you go. i dont want the huge bottle on the side, think it loooks a bit silly and you are kinda making a statement. Any body riden a bike with NOS or has anyone done it to the sv yet?
i would like to get a though but the odds are against it. i like the lightness of the 650, and the size, and plus i cant afford a though now.

Not seen it done myself though I imagine the engine can easily take it, though I do like the idea myself.

Kin ell, how fast do you wanna go on the motorway

How much extra BHP does the kit give you ?

Well, it'd be funny But, the sv bottom end's not great with high power. Short durations though, so it wouldn't be as bad as a permanent power hike...

Plus, if you ever crash, you can run away shouting NOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS! like in the fast and the furious. Worth the entry fee alone, that.

ha! i like the sound of that northwind! thiing is i would probably end up saying that a bit too often!
generaly you get between 25-50bhp increase with nos, depending on the set up. like i said all i want it for is to blip past cars while overtaking, and possibly when encountering a very fast car, or a gsxr (or equivalent), a little something up my sleeve for those odd occasions. i was aware i might need to strengthen the crankshaft and other parts, but it wont be running on nos for that long, only about 10 seconds max.

Just buy a thou!!! You WILL invalidate your insurce by the way as its illegal to have NoS on the road.

Other than that, what fun

I seen a fazer in the IOM(not racing lol) while i was parked up at the chippy in Douglas, that had a NOS can, and was possibly supercharged(or whatever they can do lol), looked nice, didnt hear it running or ride off though.
