Default New front tyre recomendations.

Went for a nice long ride yesterday and noticed that I have about 1mm left on my front tyre before it hits the limit :s any recomendations on what to get? I would like something that is going to last quite a long time but will also provide good grip around corners. Any advise is more than welcome. Thanks everyone.

The Pirelli Angels get excellent reviews as well - it's either the Pirellis or the Avons for me depending on price and availability.

Match it with what ever you have on the back or replace both tyres

people say to match, i've still got a almost new d220 rear that previous owner had fitted and the 7 year, 6K mile front d220 is looking a bit tired

so i was gonna fit a front road smart and then when the rear was due, also a rear road smart, at least they're both dunlops...

got a contental road attack on the rear. Is the front one any good? Or does it not really matter about matching. Cant afford to replace both at the moment and the rear is more or less brand new.

Not sure why there's any question then - get a Conti for the front to go with it.

When the decision isn't made for you by the circumstance, (unlike this time), all modern tyres are better than the riders that use them, buy the ones that suit your pocket/are on sale near where you live/you think the tread of which is pretty, etc etc.

BT014 or the 016 if the 014 is already extinct. Fronts last for ever so don't worry about mileage. More grip than you'll ever need, good feedback etc.
