Default Earlier Pointy accessories fit a 2012 model?

Hi all, so looking for some accessories for my sv and just want clarification that they will fit my model bike. My bike is a 2012 model and looking on some websites their model year doesn't go up to 2012. Will accessories from any pointy model year fit my 2012 year model??
Apologies if the above doesn't make sense.
Many thanks all
Have a good Friday

Default Re: SV accessories question

Depends on the accessories.

There have been a fair few detail changes over the years but very few that affect the sizes of things. K3 was a bit of an unusual year with rear subframe & swing arm differences. Various bits have been updated, engine has gone from 1 to 2 spark plugs per cylinder, colours have changed, as well as a few odds and ends including gearing.

What are you looking at? Chances are it'll be fine.

Thanks Jambo. I'm mainly looking at cosmetic accessories such as rear hugger, double bubble screen, fender extender and tail tidy.
Its only because when I look on some websites, some of them say 03+, whereas others go up to a specific year but not 2012. Don't want to order something and find out its the wrong fitting haha!
Thanks

The screen & fender extender will be K3+

The tail tidy will be fine from K4/K5 onwards for sure, but perhaps K3 too.

For huggers make sure you're looking at K4 onwards, as there were changes around then.

There have been no significant changes to bodywork since then, so if it goes up to, say K7-K9 or so it should be fine for an L2.

Thank you very much
One more question, the latest version of Haynes manual only goes up to 2008. Will this be relevant enough for my model? If not is there a later workshop manual available from somewhere??
Many thanks again

Haynes to 2008 will be just fine, otherwise you can look at the official Suzuki workshop manual.

I don't think there have been any significant changes since 2007/2008 when it went duel spark.
