Hello from the new kid on le block!
Hello to all! I have been riding my SV650 for just over two weeks and i can honestly say i love it! in that time i have onbly done a pathetic 700 miles but they have been very enjoyable, especialy on burnham bends
But yeah, its completely standard and i intend to do some very subtle mods but nothing major, just a new can, crash bobbins and some new rubber (the D220's are shocking, they never get warm!!!) anyway, here she is, nothing special as its as it was when it left the factory plus 9300 miles and some security stickers... oh and the SRAD belongs to a friend |

Hi
I am pretty new here too (2001 Yellow Curvy) and I have to say you have dropped in with a friendly group. I got a shed load of replies to my first post the other night so keep watching as they roll in. |

Re: Hello from the new kid on le block!
Hi there and welcome to the forum.
Like you say, crash bobbins, exhaust and decent rubber are probably the three essential things to do. R&G are good for the bobbins, people seem to think highly of the Carbon Can Company and Fuel Exhausts for the can, but there are loads of differing opinions about tyres. I've heard that Conti Road Attacks are a good match for the SV. I always use Pilot Powers on my Speed Triple, but I don't hear of many SV owners using them. |
