Default Sold a bike, bought a camera

Well, I've sold my CBR 600 Steelie, so bought myself a new camera. It's been a hefty purchase as I had ideas about buying an SLR with a couple of lenses for the same sort of money. The guy at Currys swayed me to buying a Lumix G5 4/3 camera. When I 1st bought it I wasn't impressed, but now I've had time to play I love it. Just thought I'd share a couple of pictures with you.

With my Canon 300mm lens fitted.

14 - 44mm Lumix lens.

I just desaturated this one to give it some age

Ooh nice! I like the idea of a mini slr, they are just as capable and yet far more portable. I'll have to get a look at yours (hopefully we can get some BP meets going when the weather picks up ). After seeing your pictures I think it's definitely a sound investment!

Cracking! I found that when I got mine downloaded the full manual to the desktop and whenever I was bored I would look in the index and look for something that I didn't know about, and read up on it!

Enjoy, I expect to see one of your images in the 'a photo a day' thread

Had a play around with your photo, hope you don't mind? Where was it taken?

I dont mind at all, this was another one I did in Photoshop It was one of those lucky point & shoot moments. i was looking the other way & heard an engine, turned around, lifted the camera & clicked. It's taken at Croxden Abbey near Uttoxetter.
