Default Saggy back ends

When Bibio explained how the lack of rebound damping effected the standard front end on the curvy I could understand what was going on, rather than "it is not as goog as it could be"

So, as I am on the verge of purchasing a nice new rear shock what improvements will I see over the standard 16 year old 36000 mile original?
What are the improvements?
How will the handling change?

Default Re: Saggy back ends

Everything will be better

My old OEM shock used to bounce me off the seat on bumpy roads, the rear wheel would leave the road. Now firmly planted on the road

Comfort, even with a gel seat the rear was so hard, I couldn't ride that far without discomfort on the OEM shock

Now I can ride all day in comfort.

Mines just a cheap Hagon shock, but it's night and day. I got it second hand, bolted it straight on and didn't even change any of the previous owners settings and it was still night on day.

Instead of thinking about the shock, and how crap it was, now I don't even think about it. Which for your riding helps enormously, as you can concentrate on the road, not the pain
