Default front tyre removal - I'm destroying my wheel

Can anyone help?

I'm totally destryong my front wheel - I've trying to remove the tyre to fit tkc80s.

All that I'm ending up doing is putting dings into my wheel rim.

The tube is deflated & the bead is broken.

I'm a bit naffed off as I'm ruining a £90 wheel.

Help? Advice?

Dirk

Are the beads pressed in to the well on the opposite side to where you're levering? If not it'll never come off, breaking the bead is a start - you need to make sure that they stay down the well.

a little tyre soap or washing up liquid will help too to let them slide off

Thanks for your help guys!

Well, eventually I removed the wheel & fitted the heavy duty inner tube & tkc80 tyre.

I'll be taking those strips of garden hose on my journey! Nice trick.
