Louder horn
'Nippy Normans' is selling Stebel Nautilus compact Horns which blast out 139dB, for £24.
Anyone got any experience of them? Easily fitted to a K3 pointy?? http://www.nippynormans.com/products.asp?dept=259 |

Re: Louder horn
Easily fitted. If fitting a double horn, use a relay to switch the current. Loud horns are a must upgrade IMO
Personally I liked the way bluepete had fitted air-horns to his pointy, very neat, very loud. Stebel Magnums are very loud, good choice and £24 is cheap. |

Re: Louder horn
Depends on the horn, the Nautilus is a brute but it might be OK. I used an auxiliary harness for the twin FIAMM airhorns, but I've just replaced them with a pair of FIAMM flat horns, which run fine off the stock wiring- they're just a wee bit quieter than the airhorns but much smaller and easier to fit.

Re: Louder horn
Db is a logarithmic scale. 3Db less might not sound much but is in fact half as loud.
