its not the car thats so lovely thatsr causing me to post this,

just the fact that you would think and hope that in this day and age with a mass prouced vehicle you could have it more than 23 miles before the turbo gives up and it dies....

Bad luck dude.
French cars have never really had a reputation for reliability
Was it brand new ? If so that is V poor indeed. What model is it ?

Jap cars are the way forward IMHO.

Wow, what renault was it then?

That'll teach ya to be a boy racer and buy a turbo wont it

Surley if its only 23miles you can reject the car as "not being fit for purpose" and demand a new one, no?

My Missus has a Renult Scenic. "51" plate and she's had it 2 years. 24k miles in total.

Biggest pile of crap we've ever owned - it's cost me (yes, I know it's her car ) almost £400 in the last two months for repairs, including the starter motor and two coil-packs.

My 6-year old Suzuki hasn't even blown a light-bulb never mind broken down.

You want quality then get a Japanese car that's build in Japan. Or, failing that, get a Honda.

They're made in Swindon or somewhere arent they ? My 03 Accord seems pretty well screwed together never the less.

Mrs Tricky has a Yaris, got recalled for a mod a few months ago and they gave her a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience !

Must admit, I agree with you there, recently bought the new Civic great looking car, before that was CRV and before that another Civic. I can honestly say apart from tyres and regular service costs we've had trouble free motoring for the last 10 years.

I'm with Tricky, If you want a reliable car, look no further than the Japanese.

Wouldn't touch french with a barge pole... Wasn't one of those hideous Meganes was it?
