Default Regulator/rectifier - which replacement?

Before anyone says... "fit a honda one" i'd need pics and some diagrams as to how to best fit it.
Suffice to say, you've by now proberbly guess correctly that the Reg/rec has finally given up the ghost on my bike, with the IC left permanently open meaning no 13.5 to 15v accross the terminals, infact at more than 5k rpm i get no further volts accross the battery than at under 5krpm or idle so according to all sources it's gone to the great place in the sky that all rec's go to for suzuki bikes.

Now for my question...
What is a good replacement?

Like for like via ebay?
or... an alternate model from somewhere?
Links would be helpful

also, how does one remove the plastics fully exactly?
i've managed to get them loose but cannot get them to seperate at the rear light, something is holding it fast and i've no idea what.
3 bolts removed at the top and then the plastic was gently pulled to release from the rubber holder thingy but still wont come off alltogether.

Thanks all.

Plastics - there's a small bolt from underneath - each side ( near the indicator )

Also the tailpiece and two sides are all attached by a screw on each side that can't be reached when their fitted. So with mine had to loosen both sides pull out on both sides at the same time and slide backwards off the bike. So it all came off as a complete 3 piece. Be careful doing it though.
(this is the only way I could see that mine would come off)

Well, i'm tempted to grab this
Ripped from a GSXR...

Alternately, i'm considering an R1 styled part Linky but dont really have the budget for that.

What do you think?
