Yes it is made by the same people who make Transition eyeglasses, automaticly darkens and lightens.
First I've seen of it's kind. I would love to have one!

You can get visor inserts that do the same thing.

AGV have just announced an electrochromic visor which is quicker and darker. The AGVisor I believe, been reviewed by RevZilla.

Wouldn't mind a transition one for my NXR but don't think the change in tint will be quick enough or work well enough here.

I always had problems with my specs

Mines as quick as a normal pair of glasses.
I believe lazer flip front used it to save the weight of the internal dark visor mechanism.

Fair enough, tech may have come along since I had mine a few years ago.

I just never found my glasses to be responsive enough.

I also found after a couple.of years of using them my eyes became very sensitive to sunlight as even when it wasn't sunny they had a slight tint. First my optician had heard of it so I might just be weird

The only disadvantage is you can't tell if you have the mean mad max look at the lights to do the black visor stare.

" Full activation in 2 minutes" doesn't sound very good if going through a series of short tunnels.
You'd end up with dark in the tunnels and light in the blinding sun?
