have you tried spinning the wheel without it? my driveway is loose stones but i can grab a spoke and drag the wheel round without too many problems.

What is wrong with
a) lifting it on the side stand and turn wheel? or b) using a paddock/abba stand to lift the wheel off the deck? Sounds like the biggest waste of 50 quid short of lending it to Gordon Brown

Agreed, an Abba/NWS/other paddock stand will probably be a better investment in the long run as it lets you do a whole lot more than just turn your back wheel.
I've got an Abba stand - there are many threads on here as to the pros/cons of various stands. HTH |
