Unhappy New to SVs.

Ok, so i'm back on the road after a 3 year hiatus, and i got myself a 2000 SV650.It's the 1st V twin and also the 1st Suzuki i've had ,so i have a couple of dumb questions if thats ok.

One of the reasons i bought this particular bike, was because it had Ohlins USD forks and Ohlins rear shock. Is this just a straight transplant from the GSXR 750/1000 ? Is there anything else that can be transplanted ?

2nd.....and here's the dumb one... what's a curvy ??? Is it the early bike before the 2003 upgrade

Anyway only done 100 miles on it so far, and i'm well pleased.
Look forward to contributing to what looks like a great forum

Not sure about the first question, but to answer your second question - Look at the top right of the forum screen. Bike on the left is a curvy, one on the right is a pointy! Pointies are 2003 onwards I believe.

What else do you want to transplant from a GSXR to your SV?

Yes a curvy is the earlier model

Look like Renegade titanium hi-levels to me - if they are anything like the twin carbons I had on my 650 they will sound evil
