Default Pointy intelligent brake light modulator

I have one of these for a pointy. Usually £37, I'm selling it for £30 + P&P. Never used and brand new, sent for wrong model! Alex at Vizi-tec is a top bloke, and rather than send it back suggested selling it on here or ebay at a reduced rate. All instructions on his website www.vizi-tec.com . No it's not legal to use, which is cr@p as it's a brilliant idea, yes I've got the one for the curvy now and it works a treat. It's not like the normal brake modulator, well check out the website for more info.

Suzuki SV (2003+): For your 650 or 1000 SV models. This Plug-&-Ride product comes with the proper pre-assembled wires and factory connectors for quick easy installation. Estimated installation time: 1min!
For newer "pointy" 2003 models and later
SKU/Item Number: SB-SV(03+)

I think it just flashes the brake light when you apply it, rather than it being on constant. At least that's the impression I got from the website

That's exactly what it does, probably would fail an MOT, but when it comes to it, i'll just reconnect the existing connectors together, then once passed reconnect the mod. Only takes a second.

From my discussions with a police officer, you'd get a ticket if he saw your brake light flashing.

HTH.

If that is the case how does the ford GT pass the MOT as it has a flashing brake light as standard, looks cool.

GT is probably like most new car's and flashes under heavy braking (usually when the ABS cuts in). Well thats how it works on my Astra and the wifes Fiesta.

C&U regs state that the only flashing light visible from the rear of a vehicle should be the indicator, and specifies it's colour.

As already mentionned, some cars now flash the brake lights under heavy braking, quite a lot flash hazards automatically.

The MOT, incidentally, has very little to do with C&U regulations. So it's possible to pass an MOT, and still be illegal (take motorcycle numberplates for example). In the example given, I doubt many MOT testers would verify that when braking exceptionally hard, the brake light flashes (on those models it's supposed to).
