Default B/stone BT020 front with Pirelli diabolo strada rear?

Hi folks, As always I'm on the hunt for a good deal (cheap deal!, a scottish mans perogative !), this time for a front tyre and a slightly used (still 90%+ left) BT020 tyre poped up. I replaced the rear original (metz) with the diabolo a few months back, I know I should have replaced the front with the back, but got caught out on a trip to Ireland and needed a rear pronto!

Anyhoos Just wondered, having allready read the threads on mixing tyres what any of you think or know about with this combo! I tried searching for the BT020 tyre but didn't find much info. Is this any good this tyre as a front , and do you think it will mix well with the Diabolo which is also about 90 ish %
Cheers to all

I've done it the other way round, almost, a Roadtec (essentially the same tyre) on the front and an 020 on the rear. Worked a charm. The 020 seems to have a bit of a squarer profile. Both very good tyres, Strada is better than the 020 in my opinion but not drastically so.

Oh aye, and now I've got a strada rear with a sportec front, the only downside of that combo is that the strada works better from cold and I keep on forgetting how relatively long the sportec takes to warm up... So I've given myself a couple of wee surprises. People say that hte Strada/Roadtec fronts are designed to clear water for the rear but I've mixed and matched with Strada and Roadtec rears a lot in the wet and it's never been a real issue.

Cheers I know the one you mean, with the funky underseat exhaust. It got sold to someone who was on here for a while, then he sold it on too, lots of horrible bodgework in the build it turned out. And they took off the horrible tomahawks and fitted proper round and black tyres! Nice paint though
