The general consensus seems to be "no better than the home mod" which is easy enough (do a search/ look on the home page under how to's).
The carbed version was also a marginal call as well (and they were £100 at one time). TRE mod links Curvy Pointy Cheers Mark.

Do you people actually notice a change in feel/performance?
Im guessing it just makes it fire earlier/later? |

Apparently the timing is later in 2nd and 3rd gear to comply with noise regs, or in the case of TLS and cagiva raptor thou engines to soften the power a little.
TRE mod apparently sets the timing back to optimum level (more advance in 2nd and 3rd, ie fires earlier, further before TDC) This gives a little more power. I say apparently because I've never put a timing light to one to find out.

Hmmm, surly then the resistor addition would mean that the 4,5 and 6th gears would be firing even before optimum because itll move as well?
Man i wish there was a manual of how to and effect of tuning! ![]() |

No, the different gears don't need more advance.
Suzuki just gives them different advance due to legislation. TRE makes the bike run in the 6th gear map, which is optimised for good power on fairly naff fuel. (you can advance it more, but this requires higher octane rating to prevent pinking)
