I need to carry my laptop to construction sites, to office, to home... and I'd like to commute with my bike, instead of taking a car, bus, tram. I now have a backpack with some soft things inside so that the computer would be more cozy. If I drop the pack I'll just a have a lot of computer parts.
Any ideas? I hate top boxes, but I guess they would do the job. I was also thinking of getting a "hard duty" plastic suitcase, custimize the padding to accept the computer and then create fixing points so that I could use it as a "saddle pack". Probebly the computer would still survive low speed drops, I don't really care what happens if done from 60+. Any tried and tested solutions? Cheers, Ville |

why dont you just put it in your rucksack inside the laptop case? I cant imagine it would get damaged unless you came off.

Baglux (or Bagster as they are now I believe) make tank bags that are larger than the oxford offerings, you should be able to get one in there. Not the cheapest option, but hey...

get lissa to make you a laptop box for your bike...
Humm this could be an interesting idea... not a topbox but a slender laptop box.

I came in today with my laptop in my laptop bag, which was then inside my backpack. Fits pretty well and theres space for a ham sandwich too. Take your laptop bag to the backpack shop for 100% surety.
No more ham sandwiches for me though, all gone now. PS - I'd also recommend you use some kind of backup (I use Carbonite), cos if you do have a drop (or worse) you'll be less than pleased if you break the hard drive... |

I have to take mine to Uni which is why I bought Brian the Snail:
![]() No, really, that was the reason I bought it. ![]() Hey - luggage just doesn't go with the 'Blade OK. ![]() The one advantage I did find with it was that being hard, lockable luggage, the contents are covered by the bike's insurance. |
