I got given a sound level tester at work today, when the h&s bloke had a clear-out.
3/4 of max rpm at 0.5m from the exhaust = 107 db(A) The limit at Castle Combe is 105 db(A). Will have another go with the baffle in soon, hopefully it'll pass! Last edited by glade; 27-02-08 at 06:40 PM. |

It should do, the Revolution (I'm assuming that's what it is) is fully model-specific homologated for each bike, which for Germany means it's pretty quiet.

I wonder if the revolution-gp is also ec-certified.
According to the Remus-importer for Benelux it is even not available for a k3, but I was last weekend in London and there it simply is listed for a K3 in the Remus-catalogue ??? Maybe the revolution-gp is just "road approved" as you call it? Anyway, don't think the sound differs a lot ![]() |

Well it's a bit funny.
The revolution-gp is E-stamped allright but it doesn't come with specific homologation-papers as the plain Revolution does. It's also only available in the UK ! So in countries like Germany they might ask for these papers, should carry them with you. But I think for me here in Belgium it's ok if the can is visible E-stamped. Of course if u wanna be sure and plan to go to Germany, better choose for the Revolution. But personally i think the revol.-gp fits the sv better, it's slimmer than the revol. D. Dave, Stramasher,
if one of you got a revolution-gp is it possible to tell me what is exactly e-stamped on the can? would be great, Thanks. |
