Default Speed trap - Denmark Hill

For those of us that use Denmark Hill up by King's College Hospital, I was scooting along this morning and saw a single figure up by the turning for Grove Lane with a speed measuring contraption, I wasn't going much over the limit at the time and scrubbed the last off meaning I got 3 fingers held up and a distinct "Thirty" mouthed at me. I nodded and held up a hand in apology as I went by feeling cheerful that I didn't have to have a chat with the lass about it.

Just her on her own though, and no police bike parked further up the road, so not sure what they'd have done if I'd done a runner...

Either way, eyes peeled you lot.

Had one of these down by me, they not have a pushbike...I was doing 45 down the road, all he did was signal to me like you say that it was a thirty, I went back and it was a community support officer, he said he can't book anyone just trying to help those out so they don't get caught. Of course if someone come past at 60 miles an hour plus he'd try and get the plate and report it in.

No, not there today, as Plowsie says I reckon it was a community support type bod who has slightly less power than a member of the general public....

Still, woke me up a bit though
