Last night was the first time.. EVER.. i have used my screen as a safety feature.. it was so windy on the way home i had to tuck right up under my screen just to get some form of stability on the motorway, there is one specific point where the cross wind is the worse, so last night i tucked up and opened the throttle to power through it, next thing i see is my speedo reading 127mph... so i think MY GOD! and close it off whilst starting to sit up.. almost ended up in a ditch.. i was brown trousered to the max.. ironicly i still got off the bike with a MASSIVE GRIN lol,

Have done that many times!
I always find it a surprisingly enjoyable challenge keeping upright when it's windy... |

i saw horizontal rain last night for the 1st time in years. it just wasnt hitting the ground. i was very pleased to not be out on the bike in it.

When I'd first passed my test, I drove to my Dad's, not that far away, but still, on my way back, driving along in severe crosswinds, rain and in the dark was not really the most fun that I've ever had.. I remember following a VW polo for the whole distance- he gave me a well dodgy look when we finally separated

It was pretty mad this morning going upto the meet in ripon. Going up the M1 getting the knee down in a streight line... Thats not what I want to be doing tbh.

Just remember that power is what gets you through wind- not speed!! You CAN be in a lower gear with the throttle far out....

Just came back from Wycombe heading to Oxford on the M40. There is a bit where the motorway has been carved through a hill - which acts like a big wind tunnel! The cars behind must have thought i was well wierd, I was leaning off like I was about to take a corner an tipping the bike into the wind. still fun though

being of the light girly type keeping a bike from sweeping sidewards into oncoming traffic is hard work. I never seem to notice it coming up front cause I'm always tucked behind the screen anyway...its a defo brown trouser experience
