Default Ford Transit Van

I'm gonna service the van, change oil ect. The only problem is I don't how much oil the engine holds! Does anyone know how oil the engine hold in one of these?

Its a 2.5D. Thx

Erm, probably about 6L if the last Trannie was anything to go by that i helped service.

What is the exact year and engine model?

I'm pretty sure its 6L, as most transit 2.5 engines are.

let me know the details and I'll check for you. (Work for Ford, so willcheck my data book)

Its an R reg tranist 2.5d, 6 litres greedy bitch! If that is so I'm gonna have to buy another vat of oil

Yep 6 litres.

Make sure you run it up before checking the oil. The oil filters can take a while to fill up, making it look like you need to put more in.
