Question Bike Comms Sets

I need some org help.

I am looking at getting a comms set for me and the mrs when on the bike. I know Lidls had there version and I am looking to spend a little more than that.

I would like it to work even with earplugs in.

I have tried the Scala Rider Teamset but I can't hear any thing from 5mph upwards.

If it worked with a phone that would be a plus.

I have been looking at the Starcom1 range. Does any one use these are have any ideas?

Starcom & Autocom always get good reports - I have used an Autocom for the last 6 years or so - great bit of kit.

Once set up properly, you can still speak to/hear pillion at 'silly' speeds, even with earplugs in. You can also still hear music at those speeds if that is your thing

I use a Scala Rider solo teamed with my sat nav - never had any problems hearing audio at high speeds

My mates uses his with his Tomtom and hes says that it can be nice and loud, he also says that when he is on his phone its much quieter and he struggles to hear.

my dad has got an auto com system, on his bike for him and my mum. i tried it when he first got it an was rather impressed. you can hear it it very high speeds even with the loud exhaust. the main thing i like about it is if two of you have it then you can plug walkie talkies in and have a chat bike to bike, rider to rider and pillion to pillion which i think is a well cool idea. two or mor bikes being able to talk all round. music and phone are also able to be pluged in. atuomaticly cuts the music when you talk and plays gain when your finished. not cheap but definetlythe way to go

I got the oxford bikemike3 it's good for a budget bit of kit but the battery only lasts about an hour with the volume at motorway speeds.
Connected it to the bike battery and it was fine all the time

i have a starcom one - as long as you set it up properly and your helmets are good enough so you don't get deaf from wind noise it works

I've got a set up from INTARIDE, works well and is clear, just google intaride for their website. highly reccommended.

I have the Scala Rider Teamset and can hear it with the phone, the pillion, or the sat nav without any problems at high speed, and that is whilst wearing earplugs! You sure it is set up correctly, and the speakers are actually by your ears?
