Talking Ive been invited to my first wedding!

My friend Jane has invited me to her wedding, which is really nice as Im the only person she has invited from uni to come. But that does meen I wont know anyone there, and Im not that good in sitiuations where I dont know anyone! But I think I will just have to man up and get on with it!

Anyway, my questions oh powerfull .org, how should I R.S.V.P to the invite? (Its all very posh and her fiancé is money) I have to reply by snail mail and I want to get it right!

Also what will I need to wear? Ive been invited to both the wedding and the reception the next day. The invite says dress informal for the reception, my mom said that meens just not a tux, but still very dressed up, is this right? or should I just wear my leathers (bike leathers )

The invite says that everyone is staying at the local Hilton Hotel

Help!! (there is no excited by scared smiley!!)

Spell check the letter?

I'd still suit-up for the reception; better to be overdressed than under. You'll get away without a tie if it makes you more comfortable.

Remember that you probably have a +1 invite - so you can take someone with you

Suit rather than tux, unless your name happens to be Bond, James Bond :P

it's customary to turn up to your first wedding, or any of your weddings really, not doing so is generally frowned upon...

If we're being pedantic it's a Dinner Jacket A 'tux' is an ugly American phrase for a DJ as there was once only one place in the US worth wearing one; a club called 'The Tuxedo'. Who says the Amerryqueens are uncultured ey?!
