Default eBay member to avoid

Bought a rear, side panel off of this guy to replace a damaged one on my sv, the ad say's excellent condition, ready to fit when in reality, it has an led mounted in the underside and 2 x 2" scuffs on the outter edge.

The guy says it was mint when it left him and is refusing to do anything about it, not even a reduction in the final sale price.

He said that negative feedback would hurt me more than it hurt him so I can't do anything about it to warn anyone else, but I can warn you guys.

His user name is wwwbhpbreakerscouk.

Feel free to place phantom bids or retract bids or anything else to cause him grief if you so choose, I plan on setting up a few accounts and seeing how many items I can win before he stops accepting bids from people with no feedback!!!

Ebay have changed the rules to protect the buyer for this reason. You can leave negative feedback but he won't be able to.

I agree with all you have said bar te highlighted.

The highlighted for me, is at best childish and verging at a 'Titty'(that a word? ) thing to do. It's people like that, making it a pain for new buyers starting off on Ebay.

Mark, why do you say that? I'm genuinely interested as I've just opened a dispute myself.

Mind you a dispute, I opened via paypal a while ago was like a frigging merry go round. In the end, considering the amount involved, I just couldn't be arsed.

I hate dodgy ebay sellers, scoundrels....I was looking at SV forks the other day, and saw some in reasonable nick
Looked at his feedback, and there was such things as......................
this guy is a thief, don't buy off him
This bloke is wanted by the police
*his name* stole £322 off me,don't buy off him..poice informed
I'm still waiting for my ohlins shock

and yet he had some good feedback, but most of it was from people he'd bought from,

You have to leave him negative feedback, otherwise whats the point of the feedback system?

And I'm all for you setting up phantom accounts to screw him over. After all, he screwed you over. Why not do it back? You're not hurting anyone else in the process, just giving him a taste of his own medecine.

.....hence why people should try and be brave enough to leave feedback.

With the dispute I've got going, I'll more than likely get negative feedback in retaliation but what is one to do ? Leave off leaving feedback because I'm worried about retaliation or leave an honest one.

Usually, I'm more than happy to sort out any issues with a seller or buyer but on this, have had no contact at all.

not reccomended through ebay ben because they dont oversee the dispute, and it just ends up as a shouting match between the two parties, when its opened through paypal they are actually involved(although sometimes it doesnt feel like it it). hth
cheers mark.

Do it via PayPal , I had a German guy try to wriggle out of giving me 950 quid for a guitar I sold him . He was making loads of stuff up and basically blackmailing me into sending him some money back . Unfortunately for him , I saved every email and never send emails unless they are through eBay . I had described the item perfectly etc etc and he was the one that came unstuck in the end , PayPal did a good job there and they have sorted me out when I`ve bought stuff that wasn`t as described . As far as feedback goes , I`d wait til PayPal have gotten involved
