Could you not stretch to Avon Storms? They will last a longer than the Viper Sports so would work out cheaper in the long run. DMC has Maxxis tyres on his Gixxer so see what he thinks.

Oh and regarding getting tyres, try Steve at F & B Tyres

01270 760795

In a place called Wheelock (just outside Sandbach)

Steve does a top job and is generally very reasonable. It is cash or cheque only though.....

Wheelock AS? Wassat then?

As for finding Steve, riding through on the main drag, you can see a big yellow van parked on a drive to one side - that's him! The road is called ForgeFields and you can see his van on Google! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...02843&t=h&z=19

£180 for ride in/out is a good deal. Steve has all the kit to get your wheels off the bike and torques everything up properly after. I'll be off there for some new tyres when these wear out.

the maxxis were ok on the Raptor, but Avon storms are the preferred choice now
