KTM Duke?
HI,
Has anyone had any experiance with the new 08 690 duke Am toying with the idea of p/x the sv against 1 I have a test ride booked on sat morn |

I know I want one. Never actually rode it though. But I loved the Duke 2, like a weird cross between a real supermoto and a Hornet.

Get ready to use the gearbox a whole lot more than you currently do.
I had a ride out on the KTM 690 Supermoto Prestige and it was really nice, suspension, brakes, everything just felt solid (compared to the SV), but they do vibrate a bit

Not ridden the newest one, but the earlier versions are a hoot - you will enjoy I'm sure.

I was looking at a cracking pic (hopefully can crosspost below) of one on advrider with the tail all tidied up, beautiful! I read that the Duke and the 690SM are quite different beasts for one reason or other.
I am thinking along the lines of a 690 something or other for my next bike. This thread is enduro oriented but has a lot of talk about 690 stuff, as I would imagine there will be on ktmtalk, maybe. Last edited by the white rabbit; 30-04-08 at 07:22 AM. |

I am eagerly awaiting a look at the 690Adv, not that I have seen a 690e yet, just an SM. 690e looks TALL |

With all these cameras, and SS600s not getting in to the fun zone on any UK road a SM must be the way forward
I'd cry if I dropped a 690SM offroad though
