This took me back. An ad for Duckhams. Whatever happened to them?
Anyway for all you youngsters who are used to chain lube that is sprayed out of a can, the tin, second item down, is chain lube. Except you had to take your chain off, split link standard in those days, place the tin on your mums cooker, best done while she's out shopping, heat until runny, place non o ring chain in and leave for a while, then hang it up over the tin until all the excess ran off. Refit chain to bike. Dunno why that method has been forgotten. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
