Default Insurance non-stitch-up

I just renewed my policy, took the old SV650N K3 off, kept the rest as they were. Now bearing in mind I had a claim against me last year when I nearly wrote my current SV650S K5 off, I thought I would have to pay more - Wrong! I was quoted 30 quid less, because I had one less bike on. So I enquired about adding my CBR600 trackbike with a daytime MOT, no problem, and no extra charge. The excess on the CBR is 75 quid more than the SV though at 300 quid. Thank god for protected NCB. A nice round 215 quid for all my road bikes (better get a daytime MOT on the CBR now).

Bonus.

While I was at it they offered me leathers, gloves, boots and helmet cover for an additional 39 quid, so I took it. Unlimited claims per year but each claim no more than £1000 a time with a 50 quid excess. I asked specific questions about trackday cover and was told that as long as it's not racing or timed sessions then I am covered on track as well, it comes under 'pleasure' in the social, domestic and pleasure clause.

Double bonus.

Good old Auntie Carole, she even gave me full European breakdown cover in the price.
