Has any one got a screen fitted to a naked SV? Does it look any good and does it actually protect you from the wind at all???

I had a fly screen on my naked. it does make a noticable difference to wind blast, and i think it made the bike look prettier. U can kinda see it on these pics and make yer own mind if u like the look of them.

The Puig ones can look very nice on nakeds , I just detest those "Frosted" ones and would rather have a smoked or Black one

This one is actually New Leaf's that I bought off him. Not a good photo, I was busy fixing my speedo at the moment. I think it does improve the look of the bike personally. As for windblast, my thoughts so far are that it definitely takes everything off your chest. But then it causes cyclical turbulence where your helmet is, making things a lot louder. If you ride with a large tank bag it then prevents the cyclical turbulence and everything goes very quiet and smooth. So in short, it definitely makes a difference. Still figuring out as to whether it will make touring better or worse.

Hi wow - glad to see u got yourself an sv now!
The screen in the pics is an F.Fabbri. It was on the bike when i bought it so i can't say for sure where to get one, but it is quite a common brand so you sould find them on M&P or busters or any of the big mail order sites. |

I'm on the fence about whether I want one or not. I like the idea of the wind protection, but I'm not 100% convinced that I like the look. (and I mean NO offense by that statement for those of you that have them.

M+P sell the Impala Plus screen, which is what I had on my naked K3 - retails at £37-99 and works extremely well considering. The bike was almost unrideable above 80 before I fitted it, but afterwards was comfy enough to ride flat out if I just ducked my head down a bit.
