Banned for six weeks - SV650.org

By my doctor!

Had the operation to reconstruct my Cruciate Ligament yesterday, so I'm not allowed to drive for six weeks! I've never had a general anaesthitic before and was apparently very funny (first time for everything) whilst coming round! All I remember is my entire face itching like buggery and refusing to have the oxygen mask on. Knee strapped up in a splint for a week to ten days, gonzo painkillers and no prospect of any riding until the spring at least.

The Doc took some pics for me, this is what my broken ACL looks like, it's the white bit lower left which should go all the way to the top right;

I think Mrs Bluepete is already fed up with me! I can only walk or be on my feet for a max of 20 minutes per day, so the sofa is in for a work out. Good job I bought a PS3 last weekend! Happy Christmas!

WHat games you got on your PS3? When will GT5 be out?

GWS matey! Best think to do is get your bike all nice and clean in time for the spring!

Good to hear you're in good spirits after your op.

I do love the caption on that pic though, it's not broken it "Incompetent"

You'll be up and about in no time - after all, you're only missing the bad weather, rain, snow, hail, dumb drivers and cold fingers... have a rest and be back on track for the North/South '08...

Do we know if it'll have bikes in it aswell? Theres some speculation that the bikes from Tourist trophy will make an appearance in GT5
