Tuning: Yoshibox and Power Commander (PC)
At the risk of going over old-ish ground, I've checked previous threads and there are still a couple of nagging questions that I can't find answers to. Perhaps you folks can help...
1) General opinion seem to indicate that the Yoshi is good enough for everyday remaps, this seems to be on cost basis as much as anything as output gains for both options are broadly similar but the PC is more expensive. My understanding is that Yoshi is coarser than the PC, breaking the rev range into three broad "lumps": Low-Medium-High and tuning in those three zones. The PC can tune in rev increments of 250rpm through the range.
Has anyone fitted and mapped with a PC and is it really possible to notice such fine adjustment/smoother response on the SV?
2) Why are the output gains for tuning stock SVs so modest? This may not be a bad thing as it might imply the bike is nearly as good as it can be anyway - there are lots of observations given but not a lot of reasons!
Bit wordy but any answers welcome...
