Default exhaust yet again lol

hi peeps. if you're like me married, mortgage, kids, dog, car and so on you will realise that i'm having problems convincing the misses to let me cut my perfectly functioning exhaust off and replace it with an aftermarket one. is there any way what so ever that you can make any mods to the standard one or is it a deffo no - no? would appreciate any positve feedback. Cheers, Ray. ps so sorry for another exhaust thread.

Yes, its called a mufflectomy but it doesn't sound as good plus you still need to source a road legal exhaust when it comes to selling or MOT time (depending on MOT tester).

Best option is buy a good quality budget exhaust like Fuel or CCC and tell the missus some rubbish that will go over head.

I did a partial mufflerectomy before eventually cutting it off for an aftermarket.
What you do is drill (or use a hammer & pointing thing) to cut holes inside the end of the exhaust between the inner & outer outlet.
You can go on & completely remove the inner baffle if you can break the welds that hold it in place with a scaffold pole. I didn't bother as it sounded a bit better with the holes, but it still won't look any better or be any lighter or backfire like an aftermarket

How you need to sell it to her is along the lines of safety. Something along the lines of..........

"You know how dangerous you think bikes are because people don't see you? Well, the nice folk of the org have recommended one of the louder end cans so people can HEAR me coming".

You get the idea
