Pump you full of pain killers probably - a cheaper and less dodgy high that visiting a local dealer I suppose! Although, jesting aside you have my sympathies - I jarred my back a couple of years ago carrying a big awkward desk downstairs, agony for days!!

welcome to my world of back pain...
i've twice had prolapsed - or slipped - discs and i can tell you its the worst pain. the disc swells and presses against your spine causing severe, nay acute, pain. i can only suggest you take anti inflamatories - ibuprofen is good, co codamol is good - and rest. see your gp get him to refer you to a specialist. your gp will prescribe the drugs, but you'll need a physio/specialist to help your recuperation and give you exercises to strengthen |

Methinks bad posture is to blame? Maybe its the same with you, being hunched over on a sports bike? Matt |

Last time mine went. 4 paramedics, ambulance to the local hospital. one telling me you will be walking out in a couple of hours and not to crawl onto the settee again. He was right. A dose of morphine. a good puke. doctor shoved an arm up my **** for some reason and I was walking out to make sure I didn't get that done again.
Physio for 12 weeks. helped. Tramadol as and when I feel the need, I have a diagnosis of causes my pain (sclerosis of the lower vertebrae). My insurers will not cover me for any back injury. However, I asked and they agreed that the restriction apply only to skeletal problems. So OK if I get a tumor, or a phsyical impact injury etc. Strangely. riding a bike helps. If I grip with my knees and push my shoulders up using the back muscles. this bends my back out of its normal slouch into what feels like a concave profile.
