Ever worry about having too little oil in your engine? No, I check it every now and again.
Now not saying that this is a good thing.
Not saying that it wouldnt reduce the overal-lifespan of the engine, but this is interesting....

How old is that article? I recall PB or Bike or someone doing a test like that several years ago.

Hmm, who do we know who has a '98 zx6r, with significantly higher mileage than this and the mechanical know-how to probably fix any problems recreating this experiment would cause...

I too would have liked to see some info on how the inside of the engine looked after that treatment; even if they just took out the spark-plugs and showed them compared to a normal-used 20,000 mile kwak engine and then against new spark plugs.
Reassuring article though. I think I'll make a little trip to the rev-limiter next time I'm in second gear and in a tunnel  Matt |
