Default Source of 125s

I got a freind who is looking to do their CBT soon. Since he hasn't ridden a bike before, he was thinking of getting a 125 and asked if I would show him some basics, so he wasn't cufuffled come the CBT time.

Anyway, I've agree'd (no skin off my back and I've seen people turn up at CBT's with no clue - if they had some previous experiance then they wouldn't have been sent home before 10:30!), and he asked where he might be able to get hold of a cheapie 125, something like a CG will do.

Anyone got any ideas? There are a couple in bike trader, but I know some people have managed to get decent CG's for less than they go for on there.

Cheers,

Matt

I presume you mean teach him off road. Don't forget you have to do your CBT before you can ride on the road on L plates.....

Oh yea, definatly - I'd take him to a quiet car-park. It'd only be for a morning, just to get him up to speed with how the controls work

Just wondered if you mixed up CBT & DAS in your 1st post that's all!

I forgot about ebay! I don't use it, that's why I didn't even think about it, but I'll have a look

My advice to your mate is to not waste money on a 125,but spend it on doing DAS before the rule changes make it even more expensive.
Then he will have far more choice as to what bike to get.

If he's set on getting a 125, I've got a CG he can have for 500 notes. May not be able to get hold of it till the beginning of Sept, though, as my older brother's current pootling around the Lakes on it
