Default Increasing length of kickstand.

I installed a Penske shock and pushed the back-end up about 2", this, in turn, has the bike leaning significantly on the kickstand. Could I lengthen the SV kickstand in the same manner as was done at http://pantablo500.tripod.com/id12.html --or is there a better way ??

Northwind swapped his out for a GSXR one, apparently it took a bit of effort although an SRAD GSXR one will bolt straight on.

Saved me the hassle Yeah, SRAD apparently bolts straight on but isn't as long (or maybe the angle is different). It's not that hard to fit the Y-K3 one, mind, an hour or two's work even at my glacial pace. Still very pleased with it, I might take the toe lug off though as it's not really any use, I just reach for the foot.

Well, I opted today for the "do it now" approach. Determined with wood blocks that I needed to extend the sidestand 2" for the bike to sit-up correctly. While the bike was up on the rear-stand and with the side-stand still attached, I cut the sidestand in half with an angle grinder (1-minute) inserted 3/8" solid core steel rod in each of the two pieces to see how far it would go in, added 2" to that measurement, cut rod (2 minutes), slobered-up with JB Weld epoxy shoved it all together and let it go back on the new extended side-stand so it would harden-up with everything in its desired position. (2 minutes). Wiped side-stand off with brake-clean and sprayed with semi-gloss black (2-minutes) Looks like new. Perfect and all in less than ten minutes. When I find my drill, I will drill two 3/16" holes and bolt to insure nothing can come undone.
