Default First MOT time - Quick Exhaust Question

I've currently got a road legal (with baffles in) dual port Blue Flame evo can on my SV. Do I need to put the stock pipe back on for the MOT??

I have the link pipe etc etc.

Cheers

No it should be fine, the rules are at
http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/mc_contents.htm

But to sum up it must not be marked "not for road use" or "track use only" and not be too loud.

Only downside is that just being marked road legal isn't enough, it'll fail if

A silencer which is in such a condition or is of such a type that the noise emitted is clearly in excess of that which would be produced by a similar machine fitted with a standard silencer in average condition.
Reason for the change is so that people who knock the baffles out of standard exhausts, remove the "not for road use" markings or make their own markings won't pass.

Of course if you get a tester that likes V-twins...

As said, with the baffles in you'll be fine.

My SV went through two MOT's with the Blue Flame Tri Oval it had as long as the baffles were in it was fine.
