i have just had a PC fitted to the blade, now if im crusing at 30 with no revs in 2nd, then pull on throttle it takes about 2 secs to respond?
the same will happen in 3rd? ......... also its crap on fuel? doing atleast 20miles less to a tank...... (just poped home from work for tea, and to consult the org........ back at 10pm) |

Sounds like its Fuel air is Fubar. Has it been set-up on the Dyno? What mods you done to warrant a PC3?
Though I used to get a similar thing happen before I balanced the TB's. Cant imagine itll be the same for you... Il4's dont really get that upset about TB balance. |

Has it done it since the PC was fitted? I reckon a connector has been disturbed or it's running on a totally wrong map.

now, its got a k&n and a stubby can, also the h-vix (ex-up valve) has been fully opened and disconected (due to the motor packing in) the guy is an ex racer and works in a main dealer (he does work in his spare time) and has a very good rep...... im going to phone him tomorrow to explain the bike seems a lot better once its going, but i think i got 20 miles less before the light came on, plus the can poped, which it has never done b4 (overfueling?) mr honda fitted the h-vix valve for a reason, so.... im thinking of getting a new one, then taking it to a dynojet place to set up properly......... as there is not a perfect map for the can i have........... the guy said he did the closest he could? Till then maybe try some different maps off of the web site for your bike and see how they feel?

Nah, don't **** with it, take it back and tell him it's all wrong. Is it actually worse than it was before? If so, just disconnect the PC in the meantime.
Personally I wouldn't ever get any fuelling work done by anyone who doesn't have a dyno, yes you can get it spot on with just experience and skill but that's very hard to do on a bike you don't know inside out. I can do it with SVs for instance but I couldn't do it on anything else. So if you turn up with a bike he's never met before, he's got no starting point and he doesn't know what right feels like.

Dunno, presumably it's there for a reason but that's not always a good reason to keep it, might be an emissions thing or something.

from what i understand (which is not a lot) the valve opens at high revs, but mine is open all the time, so its over fueling? hence the 20miles less i got......... why its not pulling away at low revs i dont know |

Removing exup will lose you bottom end torque cos of hot cams and no backpressure.
Should have lots of power but feel to have quite a powerband about 2/3's up rev range. I reckon mixture is wrong, get an A/F run done on a dyno and see what's happening.
