Can you tell if the squeak is engine speed related or road speed related?

I had a squeak I discovered yesterday, it didn't sound anything like pads to me but Dad assures me it was. It was more a creaking sound.

iv'e had that noise it's the brakes, bit of copper grease on the back of the pads and a good general clean of brakes and discs should solve it.

Cheers it sounds like its coming from the back wheel more than the front. in particular when going slow
