Default Ride in the wind or take the train?

I've gotta be in Oxford from 10am on monday. Its about 120 miles from where i live in cambridgeshire and i had been looking forward to having a nice ride on the bike. But, i've just checked the weather forecast and it says 19mph winds with 23mph gusts. How windy is that? Too windy to ride? Should i get the train instead? I didn't really want to do that cos i'd need to leave the house before 6am.

Opinions please?

nah take the bike, your not going to get blown off just lean into the wind and be careful overtaking passing lorries for the gust and you should be fine!

The wind will be ok, but it's monday morning rush hour. If you're not used to it 120 miles is not v nice. As you stated that you were looking forward to a nice ride. Anything in rush hour isn't nice.

Riding in the wind is'nt as daunting as you might think, I'm a new rider and been caught in a few gales, but if you relax and just correct yourself as needed its not a problem.
