Haha man, that is so ridiculously rude and anti-bikers, but I still reckon he is funny. And clearly jealous cos he can't get it knee down and was photographed on a vespa. I don't see many Nissan Micra's on his Sub-zero wall!!

I know people don't sometimes pick up that other people have posted this stuff before.

One of the bike shops I went to at the weekend is spending a fortune on marketing claiming getting a scooter that does 120mpg will help them in the hard times.

Not sure how long it would take to break even myself after all expenditure.

He's a writer. He is simply padding out his boring comment of "I don't like to ride on 2 wheels, it feels a tad dangerous to me" with humour and obvious exaggeration, as you would expect.
I don't think he's ignorant, although it's a bit as if he is writing for the ignorant, he probably knows a lot more about bikes than he would ever let on, thanks in part to Hammond and May I reckon. Crude? Yes. Rude? Yes. Over-doing it a bit? Yes. Unnecessary? Totally.

Maybe, he dosent strike me as stupid, and I can see how he is playing to his market, but some of the things he says are just wrong. He has a go at bikers for not liking scooters, akins it to rasism, but then top gear openly slates many cars. Hypocritical in my eyes.

Plus his comment about gear changing, all mainstream modern bikes that I know of change gear with the left foot, unless they are twist and go.

The coment about the brakes, there are linked and ABS for bikes if you so choose. Admitadly the option isnt there for all bikes, but there is the otpion none the less.

Am quite taken aback by that article.

If you want to ride something bigger, you must take a proper test. But, of course, being human, you will not want a bigger bike, because then you will be killed immediately while wearing clothing from the Ann Summers “Dungeon” range. Oh dear, his wife told him he looked cr@p in leathers, bless.

So, when you are not riding it, it must be leant against a wall or a fence. So clearly sidestands or centrestands are simply objects commonly used by the Tooth Fairy....

Because bikes are designed by bikers — and bikers, as we all know, are extremely dim — they haven’t worked out how the front and back brake can be applied at the same time. How very rude!

Motorbiking has always been a hobby rather than an alternative to proper transport, and as with all hobbies, the people who partake are extremely knowledgeable. Oooooooh flippin' 'eck, a compliment!

I therefore hated my experience of motorcycling and would not recommend it to anyone. Spoilt brat

I also counted 12 references to death as a result of being on a motorbike, what a pessimist. I like this bloke when he's talking about cars but definitely cars is JUST what he should talk about, he's a complete **** otherwise
