Default SVinfo site

hey guys sorry if in wrong section wasn't sure which

well basically i am doing a HND in IT and got to design and build a website, and ive chosen to make a site that contains useful information about the sv650 such as

reviews, model specs, model pictures, common and useful mods etc

i just wondered if anyone could share some useful sv information that they may have or found on the internet, to make it bigger of content, such as

little mods e.g. suspension upgrades, engine mods etc

its going to be fully functional and uploaded for everyone to see

please anything will help

thanks alot

Phil

errr....www.sv650.org perhaps?

FAQ's and how too's covers most worth while mods...

images covers err...loads of images...

Links covers lots of other useful sv site and info etc...

if its just for your HND to show your examiners then why not, but if your looking to build a site that gets lots of traffic then maybe the sv has been done to death as its a popular and long running bike, unless you could come at it from a different angle and find something that would make your site unique.

this is just my opinion anywhoo, good luck with whatever you do, and lets see ur site when built!!!

yeah i no what your saying, and it is just for examiners

but what i was thinking was gathering all the information and putting it on one website

for example the front end gsxr mod and what parts etc you need, this will help people interested so they wont have to go through loads of threads to find it it, and help people from asking simple questions that could of been searched on the forums

that why i posted it here, if anyone had a mod listed so i can insert it on the site

if that makes sence lol

Well the info for that is on the site linked in greek boys signature, however it doesn't tell you what to use for a curvy.

this is what i mean, putting everything in one website will help people find the answers like the curvy front end, and one of the recent ones is the R6 throttle tube mod etc etc much easier

As an academic exercise, what you propose is good.

However from your last posts it sounds more like you are trying to find problems to fit your solution.

i think SK is saying that your solution...)ie make a website with all the info on that you propose) isnt a solution to a real problem, your argument is to make it "easier", but if you type r6 throttle mod sv650 into google or any other mod/forum search u get ur answers....so theres not really a problem to begin with, you are creating one to fit your solution...that make sense? but as said as an academic exercise (just for your examiners) its a good idea....we aint having a go, nor do i personally think you are trying to get other people to do your research, as that is neither here nor there, as im guessing you are marked on the design/layout, ease of use etc of the website you create as oppose to its content?

i see what you are getting at now

i just thought that it would help, as for instance i wanted to upgrade my rear suspension with a gsxr shock, i spent days on end searching for the right answer, so i thought if i could put the "right" info on a website

yes that is how it would be marked on but i was going to keep it uploaded for sv users to see, obviously this isnt the case soory
