Talking Conversion almost complete!

Well done YC. In the time I've known you you have managed to seemingly convert me from knowing nothing about motorbikes (except that they have 2 wheels) to a can-actually-string-a-decent-conversation-with-a-complete-stranger-about....

BIKES Last night in the pub. Usually YC has to start chatting about bikes but last night twas just little ol' me

So now not only do I ride pillion, but I actually read bike mags and don't just look at the pictures (have actually purchased one myself before to read an article that actually interested me), I will soon be learning to ride, I drool at every nice bike in the neighbourhood and adore the loud growls of meaty exhausts.

Now this may just seem like another one of my pointless threads but it amuses me that 3 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about bikes, let alone even contemplate learning to ride one myself and yet here I am raring to vroom off into the sunset!

So thankyou babes tis all your fault my family think am a hooligan....

OH and I forgot to mention I'd never have met you 'orrible lot - some would say that would be a blessing

Me too, some of it does go in to my amazement. I don't need to thank the org, that goes without saying

haha good for you miss yc Hope you get riding soon. There's definitely a serious lack of women with an interest in motorbikes in this world.

I know exactly where you're coming from!
10 years ago when I first knew Mr Lou, he'd look at a bike and go 'that's ABC250, that's XXY700' and I wondered how he remembered all these letters and numbers, rather than names.

But now I can often beat him to the type of bike that whizzes past. And last night was chatting with a chap who'd just taken a rocket 3 for a test ride, and I was about to talk about cruisers!

Tis a good feeling. Now Miss YC, you need to do a mechanics course as well as the CBT, as I can now service the bike and car, which is even better!
